C. Allen
Productions Unlimited, Inc., (CAPU) is a music entertainment
company started in 2001 by Cynthia Allen, located in
the Houston metropolitan area that specializes in artists' consultant,
promotions, special event planning and coordinating. CAPU was
established to provide independent artists who are seriously
seeking to have their music careers and talent exposed in the
music industry. Our goal is to serve as a channel to promote
and attract new and upcoming artists to the music industry by
providing them the opportunity to digitally distribute their
music and showcase their talent. This will also provide a forum
for those seeking new artists (agents & producers) an opportunity
to see fresh new talent first hand.
She is a
member of the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE)
the largest, most prestigious professional women's organization
in America. NAFE is committed to empowering women to achieve
career success, through the very best in lifelong professional
development, valuable educational programming, a wealth of career
building resources, plus the largest network of professional
businesswomen. She is an associate member of the World Academy
of Recording Musicians (W.A.R.M.) that recognize creative and
technical professionals such as writers, publishers, attorneys,
and record company staff and artist managers who are directly
involved, on a professional basis, in the music industry. In
June 2003, the Manchester Who's Who Registry of Executives and
Professionals recognized Ms. Allen for her success and professional
accomplishments. Manchester Who's Who Registry is committed
to providing professional networking services and recognizing
the achievements of executives and professionals worldwide.
She is a
member of the Lufkin and Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce
and currently serves on the board of directors for In Action
Shelters, Inc. she also is responsible for co-hosting "National
Night out against Crime" a yearly event that is sponsored
by the Houston mayor's office.
She has
booked such artists as Percy Sledge, Bobby Blue Bland, Temptations,
Shirley Brown, Mel Waiters, Sir Charles Jones, Lenny Williams,
TK Soul, Kenne' Wayne and a host of others. She has been featured
in Jamsource Magazine and The East Texas Buzz Magazine also
is responsible for coordinating the Annual Budweiser East Texas
Blues Festivals in addition to coordinating such events as the
"Motown Celebration", "Fiesta's Spring Festival",
"Houston's Summer Jamz", Zydeco Dance & Show,
"C.A.P.U. Gospel Explosions"and "Taking Our Youth
Back Tour".
C. Allen
Productions Unlimited Inc., donates a portion of the proceeds
from each event to In Action Shelters, Inc. a 501c3 Non-Profit
Organization, founded by J.B. Boykin, located at 2102 King St.,
Houston, TX. This organization provides food, shelter and clothing
for the homeless, Aids victims and recovering drug addicts they
also provide a drug program designed to help rehabilitate addicts
to becoming productive citizens.
