Recently Mr. Allen has released several songs in the “Grown & Sexy”2-Step Dancing medium most recent is his cover of the classic “You & Me”.

”I’ve Never Found A Girl (To Love Me Like You Do)”

Leroy started his career in ‘69 with the group “THE SYMPHONICS “, that later became GOD’S GIFT TO WOMEN. In 1972, the group recorded “ Let Your Heart Be The Judge“, which still gets air play more than thirty years later. In the early 80’s Leroy started the group “The Perfect Timin Band”, which backed Bo Williams, while touring with Cameo, and Gerald Levert. Perfect Timin also opened for New Edition, Baby Face, Roger Troutman & Zapp. In the 80’s Leroy toured as a member of The J. King and Club Nuevo Band.

In 2013, Leroy Allen started a solo project with the new hit single “I Want It “, receiving heavy rotation in the Southern United States and European Markets. Mr. Allen recently formed “Orion the Band” which consists of top musicians from the Houston area, creating the foundation for the “I Want It” Project.

In 2013, Leroy Allen added the response to the “I Want It” project with the release of the single “Together Forever”. As 2015 arrived Mr. Allen decided to turn his talents to the Southern Soul Genre with the release of “Living On A Fixed Income”. Recently Mr. Allen has released several songs in the “Grown & Sexy” 2-Step Dancing medium.

In 2015 Mr. Allen continues to stretch out into different genres displaying his smooth vocal “Living On A Fixed Income” merges Mr. Allen’s R&B roots with today’s hot Southern Soul Genre, bringing a unique sound and feel to this performance.

In 2016 Leroy Allen covers an old Wilson Pickett hit with his touch of Southern Soul funk. Mr. Allen smooth vocals brings a unique spin on an old R&B classic along with the funky grooves he has been noted for in his pass work.

“I Got To Have You”, is a collaboration between Leroy Allen and Frank McKinney of Atlanta Georgia featuring the smooth jazzy sax of Larry Buffer. This mellow steppers groove glides you gently across the floor with a smooth but driving beat.

“Let’s Get This Party Started” continues Leroy Allen’s venture into the Southern Soul genre. This track features the continued collaboration of Frank McKinney and Leroy Allen resulting, in a unique blend of Mr. Allen’s R&B style vocals with Mr. McKinney’s famed Southern Soul roots. Mr. Allen’s vocals smooth the rough edges of the Southern Soul beat, while guiding the dancers to the dance floor to glide across the floor on this driving beat.
